The Carlisle Area School District (CASD) needed to upgrade their aging middle schools, preparing them for the future. Paramount was creating an atmosphere whereby educational space was optimized for the student learning experience.

 

Beyond the bricks and mortar, prerequisites include quiet teaching spaces, individual space comfort controls, visual interaction between the outdoor and interior spaces, natural lighting, aggressive energy saving features, and use of the latest technology. As a proven leader in education and the community, the CASD embraced the USGBC LEED program to assist in attaining their high standards for both schools.

 

The renovated middle schools will be using an estimated 56% less energy per square foot per year than the existing, smaller building did.
